Resumo
vIt is common to observe the use of different types of media and technological equipment by teachers in universities and schools. This use became even greater at a time when the world was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and health bodies recommended, or required, social distancing. As of 03/16/2020, face-to-face classes were suspended throughout the state of Amazonas. As a result, schools and universities had to stop in-person classes and resort to remote and/or hybrid teaching. That same year, the National Education Council (CNE) published some opinions that guided school units to continue teaching and hold classes remotely. In Amazonas, especially in the interior of the state, internet use is precarious and many students do not have access to the internet and computers, making it even more challenging for teachers and students to continue classes remotely. Therefore, this research aims to analyze how teachers and students from the State University of Amazonas and the Deputado Armando de Souza Mendes State School, both located in the city of Tefé/AM, used Information and Communication Technologies in the teaching-learning process. during the pandemic. To carry out this study, a bibliographical review was carried out with a theoretical framework based on authors who debate education and technology. We used qualitative research, where semistructured interviews were carried out with three teachers from the Center for Higher Studies of Tefé CEST/UEA and three high school teachers from the night shift at Escola Estadual Deputado Armando de Souza Mendes in the municipality of Tefé/AM who worked during the period from March 2020 to December 2021. We also interviewed three students from each institution mentioned above to observe these students' perception and experiences about teaching-learning during the pandemic. We saw that, at that moment, studying and working remotely in the municipality of Tefé/AM proved to be a great challenge, as no one was prepared for this situation. Due to the scarcity of technological resources in this location, financial issues of teachers and students, sociocultural and locality, some teachers and students were unaware of remote teaching, that is, teaching mediated by technologies during the pandemic did not reach everyone, which generated losses that are still felt today by everyone involved in this process.
