A influência do design de personagens na experiência do jogador em jogos eletrônicos

Abstract

This work aims to investigate the influence of character design on players’ experience in electronic games. Based on theorists such as Rogers (2013), Papanek (1971) and Vidor (2019), the research discusses how visual and narrative aspects of characters shape the player’s emotional and aesthetic connection with the game. The methodology followed a mixed approach, combining literature review, qualitative interviews with players and quantitative analysis of engagement metrics. The results show that well-designed characters not only enrich the narrative, but also increase immersion and promote greater emotional identification on the part of players.
