Narrativas do itinerário terapêutico de gestantes em uma unidade básica de saúde

Abstract

The study presents narratives of the therapeutic itinerary of pregnant women attended at a basic health unit (UBS) during prenatal care, it sought to highlight their impressions about health care in peripheral areas of the city of Manaus. The socioeconomic and health conditions of these pregnant women were characterized, as well as the narrative of the care performed and received, their impressions and expectations about the service in primary health care. This study used a qualitative approach to data, based on interviews, field notebook and participant observation. Eleven pregnant women, aged from eighteen to forty-five years old, were interviewed. The interviewees stated that they had difficulties in accessing the UBS to carry out prenatal consultations, highlighted the existence of little infrastructure and basic sanitation in the neighborhood, such as the absence of piped water, sanitary sewage, accumulation of garbage
