Resumo

The advancement of digital technologies has led to significant transformations in the educational context, requiring the adoption of innovative methodologies that make the teaching-learning process more dynamic, participatory, and meaningful. In this scenario, the use of interactive digital resources, with emphasis on the Kahoot! app, stands out as a relevant pedagogical strategy in the teaching of Geography. This study aimed to analyze the potential of Kahoot! as a tool to support the teaching and learning of Geography, considering its contribution to student engagement, active participation, and the development of critical geographical thinking. The research adopted a qualitative and descriptive approach, conducted in a public school in the municipality of Parintins–AM, with practical application in a middle school class. The results showed that the use of Kahoot! promoted motivation, interaction, collaborative learning, and the retention of geographical content, in addition to allowing the teacher to immediately identify learning difficulties. It is concluded that gamification, when integrated into intentional pedagogical planning and aligned with the guidelines of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), constitutes an effective alternative for redefining pedagogical practices in Geography teaching, making them more engaging and relevant to the students' reality.
