Resumo
This article aims to explain the experiences of teaching History during supervised internships at the Coronel José Assunção State School with 7th-grade classes and at the Almirante Barroso State School with 1st-year high school students. The central objective is to report on the development of activities carried out with students from both schools. In this context, during the internship period, classes were developed on the themes of Spanish Conquest and Colonization in America in elementary school and Spanish Navigation in high school. Various methods and resources were used in the development of the classes, such as slides, printed materials, group discussions, and pair work, thus enabling a teaching and learning practice that was understandable for all. In the end, it can be seen that the results were positive in terms of the understanding of the content covered, since there was considerable participatory interaction on the part of most students, especially those in elementary school. It is therefore concluded that the internship period was exceptional and indispensable, since it was possible to put into practice in the classroom the skills and learning acquired during the History degree course.
