Relato de experiência em pesquisa: o clube do palmeiras como lugar de memória em Novo Aripuanã

Abstract

The Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras, founded in 1977 in Novo Aripuanã, Amazonas, played a vital role in building identity and social cohesion. In this sense, this experience report in the form of historical research on the municipality, aims to demonstrate, through the research activity developed, the trajectory of this activity common to the training of historians. Thus, it focuses on bringing to understanding how a place of memory is realized, analyzing its influence on local identity and on the social, cultural and emotional relations of the community. To achieve the objectives of the reported study, the Oral History method was used. The results show that Palmeiras became a crucial meeting point, promoting events such as birthdays, weddings and election results, strengthening community ties. Recreational and cultural activities, such as parties and sporting events, contributed to the creation of shared memories and the strengthening of collective identity. Thus, the Palmeiras Club not only provided entertainment and leisure, but also played a fundamental role in promoting mental and physical health, personal development, and strengthening support networks in the community.
