Resumo
This experience report aims to understand the relevance of psychosocial support in the school environment for students in the Youth and Adult Education (EJA) program at the aforementioned school, analyzing how the presence of a psychologist can contribute to overcoming emotional and social barriers that impact learning. The method used included the application of a questionnaire to identify the main psychosocial demands and understand students' perceptions of the impact of these issues on the educational process. Furthermore, it is based on the theoretical approaches of Philippe Ariès and Marc Bloch, who explore the historical construction of education and subjectivity, and on the pedagogy of Paulo Freire, who values education as a transformative practice. The results indicated that EJA students face challenges such as social exclusion and emotional conflicts, directly affecting their academic performance. The research concludes that the inclusion of psychology and social work professionals is essential to promote a welcoming and inclusive school environment, strengthening citizenship and critical learning. The work reinforces the importance of teaching History as a tool to connect the past to the students' reality, promoting social transformation.
