Abstract

This work is based on observing the culture of the Piau village, located within the limits of the municipality of Ipixuna on the Riozinho stream. It is a space that pulsates with the traditions and knowledge of the Kulina people. As a member of this ethnic group, and having not had the opportunity to grow up and learn about their culture and harmony with nature, their respect for elders, and the transmission of ancestral knowledge, I understand that culture has many facets that permeate all aspects of human life. It encompasses a set of values, beliefs, practices, customs, and artistic expressions that characterize a social group. Indigenous culture is marked by a profound respect for the land and natural resources, elements that are seen not only as material goods but as an integral part of spiritual and community life. Through the development of the interviews, it will be observed how the culture is developed. Finally, it is hoped that this work will contribute to greater awareness of the cultural richness of the Piau village and inspire actions that promote respect for cultural diversity, strengthening the role of indigenous peoples in present-day society.
