Potencialidades da resolução de problemas no processo de ensino-aprendizagem de funções na 2ª série do ensino médio

Abstract

Problem-solving is intrinsically related to the teaching-learning process of mathematics. From this perspective, the results of a study developed with the objective of understanding the potential of problem-solving in the teaching-learning process of functions in the 2nd year of high school are presented. This is a qualitative approach, since the interest was in understanding the perceptions, opinions and experiences of the individuals involved in the context investigated (Bicudo, 2013). To construct the data, a literature review was carried out, systematic observation of mathematics classes, structured interviews and the application of questionnaires as part of the development of a didactic sequence. The results obtained indicate that the problem-solving methodology brings results for learning, but it needs to be an ongoing process.
