Jogos matemáticos para o desenvolvimento do pensamento algébrico em alunos do 7º ano do ensino fundamental II

Abstract

This study analyzed the contribution of mathematical games to the development of algebraic thinking in students of the 7th grade of Elementary School II. With a qualitative approach, the research was carried out in a public school in Parintins-AM, through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, workshops and pre and post-tests. For the interpretation of the data, Discursive Textual Analysis was used, which made it possible to understand how the students related to the algebraic concepts throughout the activities. The results indicate that the Conecta and Algebraic Bingo games promote advances in the development of algebraic thinking, although part of the students perceived them more as competition than as a didactic resource. It is concluded that these games have the potential to strengthen learning in the school community, valuing playfulness, interest and participation of students.
