Perfil enzimático de fungos endofíticos associados à plantas medicinais no município de Parintins (AM)

Abstract

This study isolated endophytic fungi from leaves of nine medicinal plant species in Parintins (AM, Brazil) and evaluated their production of amylase and lipase. Twenty isolates (EMF1 to EMF20) were obtained and subjected to qualitative assays on specific solid media. All isolates (100%) exhibited lipolytic activity, whereas only four (20%) produced amylase. Isolates EMF17, EMF11 and EMF16 stood out for lipase (maximum enzymatic index of 4.40, 3.93 and 3.60, respectively), and EMF6 and EMF15 for amylase (high activity). Four isolates (EMF6, EMF13, EMF14, EMF15) displayed dual enzymatic activity. It is concluded that endophytic fungi from medicinal plants of Parintins are promising sources of extracellular enzymes with biotechnological potential.
