Uma planta que ensina: processo de aprendizagem na doutrina do santo daime

Abstract

In the field of education, as well as in the human and social sciences, there are still few studies that seek to point out the teaching and learning relationships in non-hegemonic (Christian) religious environments. Likewise, very few point out the unique aspects of entities in educational processes. Exploring this gap in a way, this Course Conclusion Paper analyzes how, in the Santo Daime doctrine, ayahuasca is understood as a plant that teaches through mirações and hymns sung in religious ceremonies, having as theoretical support the authors Boutin (2016), Edward MacRae (1992), Groisman (1999), Kahman (2017) and so on. The theoretical discussion on the subject is applied to non-directive interviews and to the author's own participant observation in a function of the Daime in Parintins.
