Resumo
This study addresses reflective mediations in the teaching of dance in the school environment, emphasizing the challenges and potentialities in the training of dance teachers. Based on experiences gained through the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarships (PIBID-Dança) and the analysis of documents such as the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC). The study highlights gaps in the qualification of specialized professionals and the appreciation of dance as a curricular component. It thus proposes critical and reflective pedagogical approaches, emphasizing the relevance of dance not only as an artistic expression but also as an instrument of social and cultural transformation. The conclusion reinforces dance as an indispensable element for the integral education of students.
