Mirante Lucia Almeida: uma análise sobre sua configuração como um equipamento ou um atrativo turístico na cidade de Manaus

Abstract

This article analyzes the identity of the Mirante Lúcia Almeida, located in the historic center of Manaus, with the aim of verifying whether the space can be classified as a tourist attraction or facility. The research adopts a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive approach, based on a bibliographic review and direct observation carried out in March 2025. Aspects such as physical structure, accessibility, signage, functionality and social use were analyzed. The results indicate that the Mirante brings together hybrid characteristics, functioning as a tourist facility by offering support for visitation and circulation, but also as an installation with symbolic value and a complementary attractive function. The analysis indicates that its multifunctional configuration inserts it as a strategic element in the planning of urban tourism in Manaus.
