Resumo
The present work is an experience report on inclusion in Physical Education classes, with an
emphasis on inclusive bodily practices aimed at individuals with visual impairments. To this
end, these inclusive practices were planned and developed by students of the Physical
Education Licensure program at the University of the State of Amazonas (UEA). The objective
of this research was to report the experiences lived by the Physical Education students based
on an intervention carried out in the curricular component Intervention Projects at the
University of the State of Amazonas (UEA), with activities directed toward the theme of
inclusion in Physical Education classes. This qualitative and descriptive research was based on
observations and experiences arising from the Intervention Projects curricular component in
the 5th semester of the Physical Education Licensure program at UEA. The target group of the
intervention, which involved inclusive practices, consisted of 26 students of both genders from
the 5th grade of Elementary School at Getúlio Vargas State School, located in the central-
southern region of Manaus, Amazonas. The activities developed addressed the theme of
inclusion through practical dynamics, such as orientation routes with blindfolded eyes and
reflective discussions on empathy and respect for differences. The results showed that the
students expanded their understanding of disabilities and demonstrated more empathetic and
collaborative attitudes. For the participating university students, the experience enabled the
development of pedagogical skills and strengthened teaching self-efficacy, highlighting the
importance of practical training in building a more inclusive and citizenship-oriented Physical
Education. It is concluded that the inclusive practices implemented in the school contributed to
recognizing diversity and promoting ethical and social values essential for democratic
coexistence among all those involved
