Resumo
Gastronomy has become an important source of identity formation in postmodern society, considering that it is central to the experience of visitors in tourist destinations. Both gastronomy and tourist destinations encompass several areas of knowledge. This article presents a bibliometric study on scientific production, specifically in the field of gastronomy, tourism, and destinations in journals from 2015 to 2025. The study is quite relevant, as it addresses current trends, gastronomic experiences that have reinvented themselves, and have experienced significant growth during the COVID-19 pandemic. When analyzing the articles published on the subject, the highest publication rates on the subject can be noted, with Spain ranking first in the ranking of those that publish the most, Brazil and Turkey. These were the highlights in the research, the peak being in the years 2020, 2021, and 2022, revealing that the COVID-19 period aroused growing interest in the scientific academic community.
