Resumo
The view on Science related to Education, in a context of insertion of this area in the
school environment is still very recent, since the Science discipline was one of the
later to be incorporated into the Basic Education curriculum. It is notorious that
Brazilian education faces daily criticism about the physical structure of its schools,
the outdated teaching-learning process and even the insufficient training of its
teachers. The objective of the work was to investigate the teaching of biology from
the perspective of high school students. Giving voice to your perception of Biology
teaching regarding the difficulties encountered in learning biological knowledge. The
methodology used was the qualitative and descriptive method, Qualitative Research
(method of scientific research that focuses on the subjective character of the object
analyzed), Descriptive Research, is one of the classifications of scientific research.
The results obtained were that teachers and managers use practically all learning
methodology, such as video lessons, practical classes and experiments. For
students, poor learning is due to family problems and lack of focus and a lot of
distraction in the classroom, such as parallel conversations and social networks. It
is concluded that the demotivating factor of basic education in public schools are
working conditions and long working hours and for students the greatest precursor
to move away from school are family problems and the need to increase family
income
