Identificação de ações de educação ambiental na escola municipal Aristeu da Cunha Virgolino em Manicoré-AM.

Abstract

Environmental education began its appearance around 1968, with the concern of movements of ecologists, aiming to demonstrate to society the impacts caused by the uncontrolled use of natural resources. One of the first formal records in the world took place at a meeting in Rome, dealing mainly with this theme, years later, in 1972, in Sweden, Stockholm, the First United Nations World Conference on Environments takes place, raising the discussions to international level. As stated by Pedrine (1997), the Stockholm Conference Action Plan recommended capacity building and teachers and the development of new methods and resource instructions for Environmental Education. With this, it becomes a tool for education and awareness in the school environment, and through this, we understand the need for a discipline focused on the valuation of life and the rational use of our natural resources. To promote this research 32 students from the 7th grade, class 03 of the Elementary School at the Aristeu da Cunha Virgolino Municipal School - afternoon shift, were interviewed. Two weekly meetings lasting one hour each were held in August 2019. After analyzing the previously answered questionnaire, the data were tabulated and graphed in Excel 2010, to better understand the results obtained from this project. The goal of Environmental Education is to encourage attitudes and change through learning, leading the individual to reflect on their role in the society to which they are inserted, thinking of alternatives that can solve environmental problems and maintain natural resources for future generations, noting that we depend on each other.
