Resumo

This article deals with the reading practice proposed by teachers in the post-pandemic period to elementary school students II in the municipality of Manicoré, Amazonas, whose objective was to understand how the practice of reading was encouraged during post-pandemic classes in a public school. This research had a qualitative approach. As for the objectives, it is explanatory, as we sought to understand the reading proposals when back to school in the classrooms. The research procedures were conducted questionnaires applied to teachers. Theorists such as: Solé (1998), Zilberman (1991) and Krug (2015) are the basis of this article. The pandemic influenced the way teachers worked on teaching and reading activities. Therefore, even with the challenges, they used strategies according to the reality of each class. Since the practice of reading is part of basic education, adaptations were necessary that made a difference in the lives of everyone involved.
