Produção de kits didáticos como recurso para o ensino de ciências e biologia

Abstract

This study aimed to produce educational kits from alternative resources, intending to assist teachers in the teaching of Science and Biology in Elementary and High School, promoting a more interactive and meaningful learning. The research was conducted in three public schools in the municipality of Parintins/AM and is characterized as having a quanti-qualitative approach (mixed methods). The quantitative dimension involved the application of pre-tests and post tests, allowing for a comparative analysis of the accuracy rates before and after the educational intervention. The qualitative dimension occurred through classroom observation, field diary records, and analysis of students' perceptions. The study involved 8th and 9th grade classes of Elementary School and 2nd year of High School, being developed in stages that included the application of questionnaires with teachers, content selection, script production, preparation and application of the educational kits, and analysis of the results. The data showed an increase in student participation, greater interest in the classes, improvement in content comprehension, and consequently, improvement in the bimonthly grades of the studied curricular component. It is concluded that educational kits constitute an effective, accessible, and adaptable tool, contributing to meaningful learning in the teaching of Science and Biology. As an additional product of the research, an educational e-book was developed containing guidance, methodological procedure scripts for the production of educational kits, using alternative materials, for the teaching of Science and Biology.
