Abstract

This research project, entitled "Memory and History: Memories of Avenida Parque, an Intangible Cultural Heritage (1961-1985), aims to develop an oral history based on the memories of former residents. Interest in this subject arose from the introduction of the disciplines of Local History and Heritage History. Understanding these concepts is essential for collaborating on a study of the local history of the city of Itacoatiara, where oral narratives are the primary sources. The memory and history of Avenida Parque represent life stories and experiences of trajectories that span time, based on a narrated history in which former residents recount the cultural and social circulation.
