Levantamento florístico de briófitas na área urbana do município de Manicoré-AM

Abstract

Bryophytes are found in many damp places and are the second largest group of land plants after angiosperms. These plants, although small, are very important for the environment, contributing among other things to prevent soil erosion. However, studies on biodiversity of bryophytes in the Amazon are still relatively scarce, although it may be intensifying in recent decades. This study enabled the realization of the floristic survey of terrestrial bryophytes in a urban area of Highway. It was detected in this locality the presence of families Sematophyllaceae, Calymperaceae, Fissidentaceae, Leucobryaceae, Lejeuneaceae, Radulaceae and Lepidoziaceae. Key words: Bryophytes.
