Resumo
From the experience and knowledge acquired in the music disciplines of the Dance Course of the State University of Amazonas, I felt the need to further deepen the knowledge about the relationship between music and dance and its contribution to the development of the dancer´s musicality. Focusing on one question: How has the relationship between music and dance been studied in the specialized literature, especially research that deals with teaching processes aimed at improving the musicality of the dancer? Thus, the main objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between music and dance based on research that deals with teaching processes with a focus on the musicality of the dancer. The term musicality, in general, has definitions and concepts that vary according to the thinking of society, according to the sociocultural coexistence of individuals. The research adopted the technical procedure of bibliographic research and the data analysis departed from the cataloged information, through the summaries and records of the selected works. It can be seen that for a dancer to achieve a degree of musicality, it is necessary to obtain a set of important factors such as technical, physical and musical. Also including those involved in the teaching and learning process such as the music and dance teachers and the student himself.
