A importância da fundamentação teórica no desempenho prático nas street dance

Abstract

The present work is located the scope of a research-action, characterized as a research of qualitative approach, as for their ends it is an exploratory research and we classified as an applied research, having in view the need of the improvement and the importance of the theoretical foundation in the practical performance in the Street Dance, approaching the five main styles: Popping, Locking, Breaking, House Dance and Hip Hop Dance. Starting from the historical contextualization of the dances created in the United States (USA) and its propagation in Brazil. In this way, I have an objective to analyze if the theoretical improvement in creation processes and formation in Street Dance can collaborate in the artistic performance of the dancers. Considering this objective, cultural experiences were accomplished, being approached the theoretical foundation, through books, movies, documentaries and videos in the use of practical development about the history and the movement of the style, occurring as data collection a chat with the practitioners who represent Brazil in the championships, together with the final choreographic process being presented in the Street Battle event. Conceiving through this research a documentary concludes that the work well applied can transform the dancer's career when one seeks to develop the theory and the practice, transforming the dancer and enhancing his career in dance.
