Memórias do concreto: explorando a relação corpo-espaço-memória no centro histórico de Manaus

Abstract

This research investigates the relationship between body-space-memory in abandoned spaces of the Historic Center of Manaus. It seeks to understand how personal and collective memories, sensations, experiences, reflections, stories and scussions generate creative processes based on interactions with the city. The esearch aims to reflect on these experiences through writing, capturing the nuances f everyday life, the memories that emerge, the sounds and smells, the conversations n the streets, the marks of resistance of the ruins, among other subjective aspects that merge throughout the investigative process. This study highlights the impact of the erception of the city, broadening the understanding of how personal memories and xperiences connect with the physical space. By using the method of cartography, the esearch intertwines personal memories with the stimuli generated by abandoned paces, offering a process of understanding the body-space-memory. This study not nly contributes to the field of art and urbanism, but also to a reflection about the reservation of collective memory and the importance of spaces that are often orgotten. The reader is invited to embark on this journey of discovery, immersing n the sites and the memories that resonate in them, in a process of reative construction involving, both the practices and the writing itself, which reveals idden layers of the city and the author.
