A construção de alegorias do festival de boi-bumbá - um possível contexto para o ensino de conteúdos matemáticos

Abstract

This article presents the results of a research developed under a course completion work (TCC) of the degree in mathematics, the higher study center of parintins (CESP). This isa qualitative research conducted with two leading artists and a welder. The overall objective of the research is to understand how the construction of allegories festival bois-bumba can become a context for teaching mathematical content in basic education. For the construction of the data, we used direct observation, semi-structured interviews, photographic records and document analysis. The results indicate that mathematical ideas are mobilized in the construction of allegories making them possible contexts for the teaching of mathematics in basic education.
