Resumo
Driven by the yearning to understand how dance, as a cultural expression form that portrays aspects of reality, how it had been manifesting politically and how this can reverberate in the production of a video performance, configured the general objective of this study. The literature review was oriented towards understanding the development of dance, from modernism to the performative act. The notion of politics and aesthetics, in this research, is basically guided by the philosophers Michel Foucault and Jacques Ranciére, read from Lepecki (2012) and Muniz (2011). The methodology had a qualitative approach, with artists interviews from Manaus who use the language of performance. Through the interviews it was possible to obtained the contents analyzed used in this study. The field work for the creation of the performance moved from the social/political and cultural experiences of the researcher, conceiving as a result a video performance called Reverso ao Caos (Reverse Chaos) , a work crossed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
