Resumo

The present work entitled "The use of recyclable materials as an interdisciplinary didactic resource in the teaching and learning process in rural schools" has as main concern to investigate to what extent the use of recyclable materials can contribute as an interdisciplinary didactic resource in the teaching and learning process of the students of the rural schools of the Municipality of Parintins. The study starts from the understanding that it is necessary for the educator to innovate in the teaching and learning process, especially in rural schools and use of teaching resources made with recyclable materials in an interdisciplinary way is a possibility. To this end, the research seeks to answer the following question: To what extent can the use of recyclable materials contribute as an interdisciplinary didactic resource in the teaching and learning process of the students of the rural schools of the Municipality of Parintins? The research is qualitative, with the help of bibliographic research and was based on Hage (2005), Arroyo (2010), Caldart [et al] (2012), Silva (2017), Leal (2014), Fazenda (2008), Coimbra (2000), Quirino (2011), Silva (2015), Souza (2007), Cinquetti (2011), Carvalho (2013), among others. The following were used as research techniques for data collection: informal conversation, field diary and conversation wheel. The research took place in two moments: in the first moment, through the Productivity Project “Traditional and Scientific Knowledge as an articulating axis in riverside schools: challenges and possibilities for teachers of rural education” where teachers from the floodplain schools reported their experiences in multi-school, aggregate and/or nucleated rural schools, and how they use recyclable materials in their classroom activities. In the second moment, the research was carried out in a municipal school, located in the Aninga Community, specifically in an aggregated class. The subjects were 7 (seven) teachers from floodplain schools, 17 (seventeen) students aged 6 (six) to 9 (nine) years and 1 (one) teacher. Through data collection and workshops it was found that recyclable materials are important allies not only for the construction of teaching resources, but also for the construction of interdisciplinary knowledge, especially in rural schools.
