    The University of the State of Amazonas started the activities of scientific initiation in 2003, with the help of the recently created Fundação of Support to Research of the State of Amazonas – FAPEAM for the implementation of the Support Program for Scientific Initiation of Amazonas (PAIC) and an exclusive scientific initiation program for students from the interior of the State of Amazonas (Strategic Program of Support for the Integration of Students from the Interior to Health Sciences. of 2010 were implemented, with the support of the National Council of Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), the Programs Institutional Scientific Initiation Scholarships (PIBIC and PIBIC-Af), and Initiation in Technological Development and Innovation (PIBITI). The 2014-2015 edition was guided by public notice Nº56/2014-GR/ UEA. 606 students and 297 professors participated in this edition, developing scientific initiation projects and five UEA units located in Manaus (School of Health Sciences, Higher School of Arts and Tourism, Higher Normal School, Higher School of Technology, Higher School of Social Sciences) and four Centers for Higher Studies located in the interior of the State (Center for Higher Studies in Itacoatiara, Center for Higher Studies in Tabatinga, Center for Higher Studies in Parintins and Center for Higher Studies in Tefé). This publication presents the simple summaries prepared by the researchers after the completion of the scientific initiation project, and the individual content of their own responsibility.

    The State University of Amazonas started the activities of scientific initiation in 2003, with the help of the newly created Research Support Foundation of the State of Amazonas – FAPEAM for the implementation of the Scientific Initiation Support Program of the Amazonas (PAIC) and an exclusive scientific initiation program for students from the interior of the State of Amazonas (Strategic Program to Support the Integration of Interior Students to Science of Health. As of 2010, they were implemented, with support of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), Institutional Scholarship Programs for Scientific Initiation (PIBIC and PIBIC-Af), and Initiation in Technological Development and Innovation (PIBITI). The 2013-2014 edition was guided by public notice Nº 22/2013-GR/ UEA. 593 students and 275 professors participated in this edition, developing scientific initiation projects and five UEA units located in Manaus (School of Health Sciences, Higher School of Arts and Tourism, Higher Normal School, Higher School of Technology, Higher School of Social Sciences) and four Centers for Higher Studies located in the interior of the State (Center for Higher Studies in Itacoatiara, Center for Higher Studies in Tabatinga, Center for Higher Studies in Parintins and Center for Higher Studies in Tefé).     Repositório Institucional da Universidade do Estado do Amazonas: relato de experiência

    The implementation of Institutional Repositories has been presented as a viable solution for the dissemination of research results, promoting the diffusion of scientific communication. In this way, they are like strategies widely used by universities and research institutes with the aim of gathering, organizing and disseminating scientific productions. They are architected within the philosophy of the Open Access Movement, thus ensuring the preservation, free access and wide dissemination of institutions and researchers, with this attitude, ensures the preservation, free access and for that reason increases the visibility of the institution and especially the researcher. The present work is an account of the implementation process of the Institutional Repository of the University of the State of Amazonas, whose objective is to contribute with solutions practiced from scripts or steps proposed in the literature consulted for the obstacles experienced. The methodology used was exploratory, generated through a bibliographical survey with a qualitative perspective, including main concepts of Open Access, DSpace Platform and Institutional Repositories. As a result, operating policies, community awareness, elected free access software, information structure and relevant characteristics are presented. It is concluded that the UEA Institutional Repository will need to be dynamic, adopting marketing actions for greater participation and participation of the scientific community, frequent updates of the platform and personnel with participation in events and the future implementation of Research Repository.
