Item A importância da figura da serpente no mito cosmogônico Sateré-mawé(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-08-02) Doce, Mateus William da Silva; Sicsú , Delma PachecoThis article deals with the importance of the snake figure in the Sateré-Mawé cosmogonic myth and highlights the way in which it intertwines with this knowledge, cultures and knowledge. This study aims to show the importance of the Unhamangará Serpent in Sateré-Mawé mythology for an understanding of the cultural dimension and its relevance in the cultural reality of the Amazonian peoples. We highlight the relevance of the investigation of this element present in Sateré-Mawé mythology for the sacred and cultural identity of the Amazonian peoples almost forgotten in time, the ontological role that is present there and its dimension for a representativeness in the cultural reality of these peoples. This research has a qualitative methodology, the approach method is phenomenological and hermeneutic and the research is bibliographic. As a contribution of this research, we take the studies of Barthes (2001), Jatobá (2014) and others who helped in the theme discussed here.
