Item Síndrome das pernas inquietas em unidades de hemodiálise em Manaus(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-01-18) Coletta, Marcus Vinicius Della; Bezerra, Torben Cavalcante; Gonçalves, Júlia Jaqueline MendonçaRestless legs syndrome (RLS) is a sensorimotor disorder characterized by an urge or need to move the limbs and variable discomfort. Chronic renal failure (CRF) is an important cause of secondary RLS. The aim of this study was to assess the frequency of RLS in CRF patients in a hemodialysis unit in Manaus. 57 patients with CRF were assessed. A clinical protocol was used for personal dates, medical dates, and criteria provided by International Restless Legs Syndrome Study Group. Biochemical and hematological values were obtained. The frequency of RLS was 14% (08 patients). There was not difference in hematologic and biochemical tests. The frequency is considerable and suggests an important presence of the Restless Legs Syndrome in the population of patients in hemodialysis. Further biochemical studies are necessary to elucidate the pathophysiology of RLS in patients with renal failure. Keywords: Restless Legs Syndrome, chronic renal failure.Item Uma última canção para os olhos: a presença do cinema na poesia de Al Berto(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-01-18) Cardoso, Inês PereiraPoetry produced in the 20th century frequently explored the potentialities of the image and intermediality processes, in order to produce a discourse designed to contain lyrical expression. However, the peculiarity in Al Berto’s work is precisely the duplicity of the traditions it evokes. If, on the one hand, visuality occupies a central place in his writing, on the other the confessional tone of many of his poems is indisputable. This essay focuses on the understanding of a coexistence between these two vectors, and the way in which they result in a discourse whereby cinema is directly brought into the poetic spectrum.Item Reflexões sobre o método etnográfico-discursivo e a mídia institucional pública(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-01-18) Galvão, Rosane Queiroz; Ferraz, Janaina de AquinoThe title of this text anticipates its nature and main objective: it tries to present reflections on the challenges arising from the construction of the methodological iter (path) based on the ethnographic-discursive method proposed by Maria Izabel Magalhães (MAGALHÃES, 2000, 2008; MAGALHÃES, MARTINS , RESENDE, 2017), for the linguistic-semiotic analysis of public communication discourses materialized in texts of the state media, especially the Chamber of Deputies of Brazil. Therefore, we do not present a critical discursive analysis or even an exhaustive critical semiotic of the research object - the opening video of the TV program narrated above - to understand the sociolinguistic phenomenon that seems to be the approximation of the language and the format of the state media to the of commercial media. This objective will not be pursued less tangentially. What we intend in these lines is only to show the complexity of constructing a coherent and valid methodological framework for this ethnographic-discursive research, which may in some way contribute to future methodological contributions in ADC. Keywords: Ethnography; Semiotics; Linguistics.Item Erico Verissimo e a noção de história como um rosário de crimes(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-01-18) Santos, Maria Cristina Ferreira dosThe objective of this bibliographic research is showing, taking as theoretical assumption Israel work in April, the Erico Verissimo writer has a pessimistic sense of history, evident not only in this travelogue, but in other of his novels. Moreover, the work analyzed provides the reader with a historical arsenal on Judaism and on the creation of the state of Israel, in addition to the discussion of memory and forgetting, trauma and genocide, and notions of identity and otherness. The author of Rio Grande gives us an insight into the events of that part of the world from their experiences and time / space he is in. The work Israel emAbril is a great written heritage of the state of Israel from the perspective of a expert Brazilian writer. Keywords: Israel, Judaism, memory, history, oblivion.Item Os bruxos da literatura: um diálogo entre Machado de Assis e Jorge Luis Borges(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-01-18) Elesbão, Juliane de Sousa; Luz, Eduardo Chaves Ribeiro daTwo fictions that touch each other, two writers with points in common. Thus we find with the Brazilian writer Machado de Assis (1839-1908) and the Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges (1899-1986), two exponents of literature who universalized and consecrated their literary art. With points coinciding in their narratives and subtle gradual differences of depth, we will stimulate a reflection on the parallel we draw between the "Old Cosmo's Witch" and the "Old Witch", since these represent permanent sources for anyone who, in a way or from another, seek the intelligence applied to literary art. We will focus, in particular, on issues that involve the unfolding of the narrative, the resumption of themes, the configuration of the characters, the ambiguity and the intertextuality present in the literary writing of the writers. For this work, we pinch from the rich and multiple works of Machado and Borges two stories, on which we intend to establish a comparative investigation. They are: "Missa do Galo", published in 1894, and "Ulrica", published in 1975. We thus seek to contribute to some broader literary questions concerning the two writers, whose mastery in dealing with literary language, as well as in exploitation of its mimetic strength, enables readers the prestigious task of coproducing their texts. Keywords:Comparative Literature. Short Story. Intertextuality.Item Anquiloglossia, tratamento cirúrgico: relato de caso clínico(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-01-18) Oliveira, Dirceu Virgolino de; Albuquerque, Gustavo Cavalcanti de; Martins, Valber Barbosa; Gonçalves, Fabiano Conrado; Arantes, Pedro HenriqueIntroduction: The brake of the tongue or frenulum, is a median fold mucosa that appears stretched on the floor of the mouth when the tip of the tongue is raised to the palate. Keywords: Brake lingual; ankyloglossia; frenectomiaItem Jogos de poder: espaço condicionante e alegorias da contemporaneidade em A guerra dos tronos(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-01-18) Correa, Murilo FilgueirasThe influence of the environment on the individual is nothing new after naturalism and behaviorism studies, it is associated with social development and seeks to lay bare certain attitudes and situations. The study provides an analysis of the spatial elements perceived in the work A Game of Thrones (1996 in the USA, 2010 in Brazil) by George RR Martin, is intended to demonstrate how the city Porto Real, seat of power, as an area of acting, exercises decisive intervention on the inhabitants characters and how this influences their behavior and own interpretations of reality. Dialoguing with the work O Cortiço (1890), from Aluísio Azevedo, through literature assumptions compared, holds up the thesis that the consequences imposed on the characters would be timeless and somehow tragic allegories of life in society.Item A história das sociedades humanas: interação na área da zona leste de Manaus, Brasil, antes da viagem de Francisco de Orellana.(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-01-18) Silva, Carlos Augusto da; Silva, Luciano de SouzaThis article aims to present the perception of the first travelers that descended and climbed the great Rio Amazonas, and described that on the banks there were extensive human occupations. Within a spatial analysis in the area of the Zona Leste de Manaus, archaeological findings have confirmed that human populations have left a legacy of management and way of life. It is the proposition of this text to relate these landscapes existing in the Zona Leste de Manaus and bringing emphasis to the pre-Columbian occupations. Keywords: Artifacts; archeology; East Zone of Manaus.Item Entre o terreiro, a infância e as vivências – o conhecimento: a poesia ecumênica de Manoel de Barros(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-01-18) Barbara, Rodrigo Peixoto; Figueiredo, Valéria Maria Chaves deThis paper points to the objective of weaving brief words about Manoel de Barros‘s life, and to think over three possible tracks, of the many, he followed, as he invented his poetical, ecumenical garden: the sighting, the deconstruction and the metamorphosis. The poethical ecumenism of Manoel de Barros has gathered on his works several incitations, going through childhood grounds, schools were he studied, authors he read, artists he had involved with, etc, wanting an invention didacticism, that aggregated popular, traditional and modern. A poetry made by his conceived inter-relations. Therefore, this paper came from the prior contact with works and body experiences raised by this manoelês universe, that freed from rational incarceration the imagination, and from cohesion and coherence fetters, the words.Item Literatura e estudos interartes: saberes indisciplinados(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-01-18) Paiva, Vanessa Soares deThe Literature studies aggregate various fields of knowledge, and the Text, generally, as defined by Barthes (2004), is essentially interdisciplinary. Considering this, the present paperconnects literature, language and the interarts studies – which proposes ways to read and produce meanings, in the vast network of interrelations presented by the text (cf. CLUVER, 2001). A network that must be understood beyond the categorization of its elements, in a way that allows the perception of its transdisciplinary integration. It is also possible to question how the disciplinary knowledge, when “undisciplined”, can contribute to the creation of new meanings in our studies as researchers. To do so, some excerpts of literature produced by João Gilberto Noll are put in question, specially the short novel “O cego e a dançarina”, from the work of the same name from 1980, that narrates an experience related to the field of sensations.Item O alcance de um grito: uma reflexão acerca da estética e cosmovisão expressionista(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-01-18) Gomes, Alexandre Rodrigues; Rios, OtávioThis article discusses Expressionism as an aesthetic phenomenon, a vision of reality, mapping its manifestations and cultural influence through literature and other arts, as well as the finissecular period in which the expression expressionism came to be used. The work methodology consisted of reading and discussing, recording and producing reviews of the works studied and their respective critical fortunes. Because it was a work of hermeneutics, the research had a qualitative character, through a bibliographical review. Among the results, we note the expressionism expression (s) in Portuguese language and the evidence of Expressionism not only as a cultural vanguard situated in a specific historical and geographical context - which are the Nordic, Germanic and Eastern European societies, during the transition from the nineteenth century to the twentieth century - but also as absolutely timeless aesthetic, whose roots go back to the Middle Ages and the Baroque and whose influence continues until today.Item Representações linguístico-discursivas em texto midiático no contexto político do Brasil(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-01-18) Batista, Eni Abadia; Vassolér, Juliana FerreiraThis article presents the analysis of visual representations as a central element of intertextuality in the publications of media magazines and discusses how discourses, even if permeated by metaphors, contribute to the construction of social representations and identities. The methodology is qualitative in descriptive and interpretive style and the analysis focuses on a corpus consisting of texts selected from publications published by the newspaper "ACapa", whose peculiar characteristic is to present the news in title, written text and image in a first and only page. For the study, the assumptions of the Critical Discourse Analysis (ADC), (FAIRCLOUGH, 1996, 2003), the Social Actors Theory (van LEEUWEN, 1997) and the Social Semiotics (KRESS, 2010) the concepts of metaphor (LAKOFF AND JOHNSON, 2002). The results show that the analyzed texts carry ideological marks that disseminate relations of power and belief, both of the producers of the text and of the followers of the newspaper on the web and in social networks. According to the analysis, the text exposes conceptual representations through metaphors evidenced in the semiotic resources used by the author. In the first text, one finds the figure of the Brazilian map placed in the bottom of a frying pan, alluding negatively to the usual expression "we are fried" as the expected result after the impeachment of the president; in the second text, the attention is drawn to the country's economic situation, indicating that the continued dollar valuation has affected the lives of middle-class families. Both texts show attributes that indicate a society marked by the socio-political and economic context of the country and that the popular manifestations contributed in part to widen the divisions among the Brazilian population. Keywords: Visual representation; Semiotics; Communication.Item “O artista e o artesão”: um diálogo entre Mário de Andrade e João Cabral de melo neto(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-01-18) Cardeal, RafaelaThis paper proposes a critical reading of Mario de Andrade’s essay “O artista e o artesão” (“The artist and the craftsman”), departing from the concept of handicraft, present in the abovementioned work. On a parallel stance, it is analyzed the crossovers and dialogues between the opuses of Mario de Andrade and João Cabral de Melo Neto. The compositional and the making tools of poetry by Andrade e Melo Neto, are object of study here in the reading of two specific poems: “Meditação sobre o Tietê” (1945) and O cão sem plumas (1950) – examples that lead us to identify features of similarity and strangeness in both writing endeavors. Keywords: Mário de Andrade; art; handicraft; João Cabral de Melo Neto.Item Uma voz dissonante: desmundo e o lugar social da mulher no Brasil colonial(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-01-18) Rios, Dinameire Oliveira Carneiro; Cruz, Décio TorresThe objective of thisstudy is to analyzewomen'ssocialplace incolonialBrazilthrough the novelDesmundo, the writerAnaMiranda. From the perspectiveproposed bylines of thoughtastheNew Historyand Cultural Studies, analyzesin this articlethesocialrepresentation of womenin the context ofcolonialBrazilfrom anovelisticnarrative thatbrings into playthewomen as individualsoverwhelmed bythiscontextbutgifted witha voice thatenablesexpose yourlook/readaboutthat societyimposedforfemale behaviorinall spheres of society. The annular pustular psoriasis is a rare subtype of pustular psoriasis with erythematous scaly lesions or annular circinate, centrifugal growth and formation of peripheral sterile pustules. It can occur as an isolated clinical form without prior evidence of psoriasis, or be triggered by aggravating factors in patients previously diagnosed with psoriasis. In this paper, we report a case of a female patient, 41, with psoriasis for 24 years, who presented sudden appearance of erythematous annular and circinate lesions with raised edges topped with pustules, compromising trunk and root of the members, three weeks later the use of injectable steroid in unit responsiveness. It was initially treated with acitretin 0.75 mg / kg / day, with little clinical improvement, and then started treatment with immunobiological medication, progressing to clinical remission after 60 days of starting treatment. We will try to reflect on this relation between tangible patrimony and intangible heritage and its role in the social construction of cultural heritage and collective memory. In the northeast of the Algarve, situated in the south of Portugal, we find small settlements, designated by hills. These hills are made up of groups of houses in agglomerated settlements, they are places rich in immaterial patrimony such as legends, traditions, prayers, and ancestral knowledge that are at risk of being lost. Almost all the mountains are in an accelerated process of desertification, with only a few or a few inhabitants. They are places where we still find the preserved landscape, the authenticity of the people, the community experiences of sharing the oven, threshing floor, donkey, utensils and agricultural implements. They are spaces that can allow the sustainable tourism experience, valuing the elderly populations and their knowledge, reviving imaginary ones that manage to meet an idyllic image of the rural, which we still consider to exist in the most remote inland Algarve that we are studying. We will present a set of images of the material patrimony and its connection with intangible heritage. For example a community oven in the center of the hill that simultaneously is the place of worship of the village, for having on the wall of the oven itself a niche / oratory of Marian devotion.Item A arte de fazer como patrimônio imaterial(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-01-18) Fischler, ClaudeABSTRACT:In recent decades, the reinvigoration of interest in the past implies discursive investment in memory, the depositary of the desire of retention of historical experience, emptied of meaning in face of the vertiginous obsolescence that characterizes contemporary society. However, since the ‘official memory’, seated in the dilemma between the memory and repression, has a exclusivist character, disjunctive memories, such as popular manifestations, become politically significant, once they are able to present counter-hegemonic forms of identity articulation. In this vein, this paper conceives immateriality as a necessary extension of the concept of heritage as it democratizes the participation of different social strata in culture organization. This paper carries out a study about the intangible heritage, focusing on one of the expressions of immaterial culture peculiar to Médio Piracicaba, Minas Gerais: the art of preparing the guava-smudge, a popular candy in this micro-region, particularly in Barão de Cocais. This candy’s preparation is a kind of social mortar, as it sediments belonging linkages through the intergenerational transmission of culinary knowledge and social events that invigorate the bond between citizens. Keywords:Intangible heritage. Cultural memory. CulinaryItem Memória e patrimônio imaterial: as narrativas orais do Rio do Engenho (Ilhéus-Bahia)(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-01-18) Santana, Gisane SouzaAbstract: This study aims to analyze the oral narratives of Rio do Engenho (Ilhéus/Bahia), which are produced in the community daily.
