Artigo 5 cia de dança: uma abordagem somática nas Street Dance

Abstract

This research is located within the scope of an action research, involving artistic and corporal practices of Street Dance that emerged in the United States of America (USA), analyzing the use of the somatic approach, via the Klauss Vianna Technique (TKV), within the Article 5 Dance Company in the artistic development of the dancers of the company. We seek to answer the following question: how the experience of the somatic approach, according to the technique of Klauss Vianna in Street Dance within Cia Artigo 5, can contribute to the development of body awareness of its participants and also improve the quality of dance movement in the repertoire and/or creative processes of the company? To achieve the objective of enhancing the body preparation of dancers in Street Dance within the Article 5 Cia de Dança from Klauss Vianna's somatic approach to a better artistic development on stage, a conversation circle, laboratories for the development of the process of learning the somatic approach using TKV and making a comparative analysis with the improvisation observed before and after the laboratory. Therefore, it is concluded that the participant from this body preparation carried out by the systematization of TKV for the body potentiation in Street Dance was authentic, so that he valued his body experiences that this phase provides. The main authors used for this study were Vianna and Lima (2005), Miller (2007), Neves (2012) and Strazzacappa (2012).
