Horta escolar como ferramenta para a promoção da educação ambiental na escola municipal Padre Sebastião Assis de Carvalho em Manicoré-AM

Abstract

The school environment as a whole must allow us to understand life and the world as they are. In and out of the classroom, a school serves to promote knowledge on many levels. Within these options is a vegetable garden, which serves as a food source, a place for multidisciplinary pedagogical didactic activity, where students learn a theory with practice, focusing on sustainability and environmental education. The present work had as main objective to develop the practice of Environmental Education through the school garden at Padre Sebastião Assis de Carvalho Municipal School in Manicoré - AM. The field research method was qualitative, lectures on food and nutrition were held and a school garden was used to promote environmental education content. The results of this work demonstrate the development and growth of the knowledge acquired by students during its execution, highlighting the importance and usefulness of the garden for the teaching of environmental education.
