Resumo
Videodance is a language of contemporany art, resulting from the mixture between dance and audiovisual. The popular cultural manifestation carimbó is one of the Brazilian expressions that carries with it religiosity and tradition, being present in most religious festivals and rites in the northern region of the country. From this, this research aims to analyze the process of creating a videodance that investigates the language of carimbó in the Christian environment. This research is configured as qualitative of exploratory character and to achieve it’s objectives, it used action research, being divided into three stages. The first stage consisted of a theoretical bibliographic survey, highlighting the authors Wolff (2014) and Wosniak (2006), Bonfim (2015) and Fuscaldo (2015). The second stage was the field research, with laboratories to study the possibilities of carimbó movements in the religious context, ending with choreographic cells for the recording of the videodance. And, the last and third stage comprised in the systematization and analysis of the results acquired that, from them, it was concluded that, through the creative process of videodance, it is possible the interaction of the popular dance carimbó with the religious environment, without giving reason to prejudices and measures that prevent the use of a new proposal of expression in this environment.
