Resumo
The aim of this work was to produce and evaluate the efficiency of the use of the alternative didactic materials as an strategic instruments in the Teaching of Mycology, applied with students of the 6th period of the Biological Sciences course, of the Center for Higher Studies of Parintins/CESP/UEA, during the classes of the discipline Mycology, aiming to assist in the teaching and learning process of this science. Considering that it is characterized by its complexity. The methodology included the production of mind maps, games, didactic models and the application of expository and experimental classes, evaluating the students' previous knowledge through a "quiz" before classes and after classes with the use of the materials produced. The results point to a significant improvement in the percentage of correct answers about the contents of Mycology, demonstrating that the use of new methodologies and alternative didactic materials have a great effectiveness in the teaching-learning process, adding new experiences to the students and helping the teacher.
