Os passos da burocracia: estudo de caso dos processos Burocráticos administrativos no Instituto Federal do Amazonas- Campus Tefé

Abstract

Undoubtedly, it can be stated that the bureaucratic processes of Public Management have evolved over the years in Brazil and have become widely applied in various sectors, including the Federal Institutes of education, science, and technology in the country. Bureaucracy has been adapted to meet growing demands, seeking to balance formality, efficiency, and effectiveness. However, in many contexts, bureaucracy has also come under criticism for its rigidity and slowness, becoming a possible obstacle to the fulfillment of pertinent requests. In light of this premise, the research in question focused on Public Management and was limited to observing the administrative bureaucratic processes of Public Management that occur in the Department of Administration and Planning of the Federal Institute of Amazonas-IFAM Tefé Campus and its levels of bureaucracy, efficiency, and effectiveness. The research is the result of supervised internships I and II, where administrative activities and mapping of the main processes were carried out, also present in this work. This work is important not only for the class of Administrative Technicians in Education (TAEs) but also for society and policymakers to reflect on the issue at hand.
