Simulação de Sistemas de Controle Aplicado a Parte Superior do Corpo de Pessoas com Lesão na Medula Espinhal

Abstract

Spinal cord injury impairs the control and stability of the upper limbs. Due to this, assistive technology methods have been developed to re-establish spinal balance, improving the quality of life of individuals affected by this type of injury. Within this panorama, control systems have been a proposal with positive results in postural balance therapies, being developed from the analysis of the behavior of the upper limbs, as presented in this work. This study aggregate knowledge about postural control and proposes the application of control techniques to the H2AT mathematical model, which represents the behavior of the human torso subjected to a spinal cord injury.
