Resumo
This research examines the feasibility of temporarily hiring military firefighters in Amazonas as a strategy to reduce the personnel shortage in the Amazonas Military Fire Department (CBMAM). Based on a literature review and document analysis, the research examines relevant legislation and the experiences of other Brazilian states. The results indicate that temporary hiring is a legally viable alternative to mitigate the personnel shortage, provided it is implemented in a hybrid model that combines career military personnel with temporary personnel. The proposal suggests the creation of specialized support positions, such as drivers, mechanics, and musicians, and strict adherence to legal regulations to ensure legal certainty and legitimacy of the process. The research concludes that properly regulated temporary hiring can strengthen personnel management, increase the CBMAM's responsiveness, and improve the quality of services provided to the Amazonian community.
