Resumo
The present work has as its theme "Myths, tales and fables from the perspective of philosophy" its general objective was to explore the empirical knowledge of children about some concepts of philosophy using myths, tales and fables as a basis. This study was based on theoretical sources such as Eliade (2000), Aranha and Martins (2000), Ghedin (2003), Chaui (2008), Lipman (1990) and among other authors who discuss this theme. The methodological procedures adopted in this research are of a qualitative nature, with a dialectical approach. Intensive direct observation was used as an investigation instrument, as well as a structured interview applied to four students from the 5th year of the Ministro Waldemar Pedrosa State School, two of these students were from the male and two female. The analyzes show the students' opinion about certain everyday concepts that have already been discussed by philosophers and in some cases one can see the similarity between children's speeches and philosophical thoughts.
