Resumo
This work willingly investigates the use of the educational game "Carrera Algebraica" as a resource
methodological for teaching and learning primary grades. There
investigation arises from the need to overcome recurring difficulties in teaching
algebra, especially the lack of conceptual understanding and the low motivation of the student
there was symbolic content. Considering that traditional methodologies, based on
mechanical repetition, without always promoting meaningful learning, this study is based
in approaches that value play, social interaction and thought development
algebraic. The activity applied to a class of second semester students
Mathematics in the CESTB/UEA, due to time limitations and availability in them
Basic Education schools. The intervention allowed us to observe that the game favored her
active participation, collaboration, logical reasoning and dynamic resolution
contextualized ecuations. The results showed that the proposal contributed to the
consolidating fundamental concepts of algebra and reducing mathematical anxiety,
demonstrating potential for its use both in initial teacher training and in
primary education. It is concluded that the Algebraic Carrera constitutes a strategic
efficient pedagogical approach, capable of integrating play with formal teaching and promoting learning
more significant, motivating and reflective.
