Conhecendo a história do brasil através da literatura indígena

Abstract

The present work seeks to point out new possibilities for the study of indigenous history and culture in education, seeking to break with the reproduction of the image of an indigenous person full of stereotypes and prejudices, which the school still insists on reproducing. With this in mind, we present Indigenous Literature as a reliable source of knowledge for a more respectful study of the subject. In this sense, this work comes to question, how the History of Brazil can be worked through the indigenous literature, analyzing how the theme has been approached in a municipal school in Parintins/Am. Looking in particular to show through research the need to study indigenous literature at any stage of education, highlighting history classes, analyzing the presence of indigenous peoples in the History of Brazil content.
