Resumo

This article aimed to understand the main contributions of using customized animations in PowerPoint in the teaching-learning process of directly and inversely proportional quantities in the 7th grade of Elementary School. The work was developed in a public school in the city of Parintins-Amazonas, and was carried out in three stages: the first consisted of inserting the researcher into the school environment, where participant observation (Ludke, 1986) was used to collect data. The second consisted of applying two questionnaires (Figueiredo, 2008) to the students; an interview was conducted with the teacher. The third stage consisted of applying a class conducted through customized animations in PowerPoint with the aim of teaching directly and inversely proportional quantities, and then analyzing the data obtained. The work resulted in the conclusión that the use of this visual and technological resource is very essential and efficient for understanding the contento f directly and inversely proportional quantities, sice the students showed great progress in understanding the subject.
