Resumo
Fungi play important ecological roles and have high biotechnological potential, being widely used in industrial and agricultural processes. Among the species with potential for
application, Lentinus crinitus stands out, as Amazonian macrofungus capable of growing on different lignocellulosic substrates. In this context, the present study aimed to evaluate
the mycelial growth of Lentinus crinitus on a culture medium supplemented with agroindustrial residues of pineapple peel and açaí seed, at different concentrations, as well as
to develop an educational material aimed at disseminating macrofungi cultivation techniques. The experiment was conducted using Potato-Dextrose-Agar (PDA) medium
for the control treatment, and subsequently using only the residues with added dextrose and agar at concentrations of 10%, 20%, and 30%. Mycelial growth was monitored daily,
and the data were submitted to statistical analysis using the BioEstat 7.0 software. The results showed that the fungus exhibited satisfactory growth in all evaluated treatments.
In the media supplemented with pineapple peel, the concentrations of 10% and 20% provided higher mycelial growth rates, while the concentration of 30% showed lower
development. For the açaí seed residue, the concentrations of 20% and 30% favored mycelial growth, with emphasis on the 30% concentration, which presented the highest
observed growth rate. It is concluded that agro-industrial residues of pineapple peel and açaí seed have potential for supplementation of solid culture media intended for the
cultivation of Lentinus crinitus, favoring the mycelial growth of the fungus at different concentrations. The results demonstrate that these residues can be used as viable
alternatives for enriching culture media, contributing to the sustainable use of agroindustrial by-products, adding value to regional residues, and developing biotechnological applications aimed at the Amazonian bioeconomy.
