Item Qual é o lar da empregada doméstica? a intersecção entre espaço, desigualdade e experiências no trabalho doméstico(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2024-04-30) Lima, Queren Silva; Valle, Geraldo Jorge Tupinambá do; Valle, Geraldo Jorge Tupinambá do; Santos, Tatiana de Lima Pedrosa; Ribeiro, Odenei de SouzaDomestic work is carried out in Brazil by a majority of black women. Historically, this work began to be delegated to domestic slaves who were brought from Africa through the slave trade and, even after the abolition of slavery in 1888, these relationships between masters and slaves did not end. After many struggles and achievements, domestic work was regulated by the Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT) in 2015, when Complementary Law No. 150, known as PEC das Domésticas, was regulated. However, research shows that the number of workers who still work irregularly is exorbitant. Numbers also show that the majority of workers in this role are black women and that they receive less than they should because they do not have a formal contract. Given this scenario, it is clear that domestic workers inhabit, in their daily lives, places where social, symbolic and economic differences are accentuated, under a disguised familiarity. This study aims to understand the concept of home for workers who move between places that evoke affection and familiarity while also evoking differences and inequalities. The research is carried out bibliographically at first, where there is a deepening of guiding theoretical questions; secondly, the research is carried out in the form of semi-structured interviews with domestic workers. It is understood that issues such as affection, inequalities and the job market directly influence the definition of the meaning of home, for the interviewees.Item A oração que cura: olhares e vivência de benzedores(as) no município de Tefé/AM(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2024-04-10) Braga, Adriana Nonato; Silveira, Cristiane da; Silveira, Cristiane da; Costa, Veronica Prudente; Araújo, Gilvani Alves deThis study investigates the practice of "benzeção" in Tefé-AM, analyzing its processes of resignification as a complex and dynamic phenomenon, exploring the trajectories and rituals of the "benzedores" (those who perform the benzeção). The terms "benzer," "benzeção," "benzimento," and "benzedura" were used interchangeably to describe ancestral spiritual healing practices present in Brazilian culture. A qualitative approach was used with a focus on Oral History with three "benzedores." According to Cordeiro (2017), Cunha (2018), Friedrich (2012), Silva (2010a, 2013), and Trindade (2011, 2015), the practices of "benzedores" are fundamental in preserving and promoting "benzeção," thus maintaining the local culture within the context in which these individuals are embedded. By recognizing the dimensions of the "benzimento" practice, this research provides an appreciation and awareness of the relevance of this ritual in shaping the identities of "benzedores." This study delves into the experiences, beliefs, and spiritual practices of "benzedores" Maria, Mesquita, and Milton. By exploring these individuals' convictions, the research proposes an interconnection between healing, "benzimento," and their prayers. The individual trajectories of "benzedores" highlight the diversity of experiences and beliefs present in this context. "Benzedores" offer unique contributions to understanding the transformations of "benzeção" over time. These trajectories of diversity, experiences, and beliefs emphasize the interaction between faith, spiritual practice, and individual needs.Item Pessoa idosa': um estudo de representações no parque municipal de idosos em Manaus.(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2024-03-01) Valamatos, Sâmela de Freitas; Silva., Gimima Beatriz Melo da; Silva, Gimima Beatriz Melo da; Soares, Neiva Maria Machado; Monteiro, Eliana Maria MontenegroThis is an interdisciplinary survey, with a qualitative and descriptive approach, produced from the perspective of the human sciences. Its basic theories were Moscovici's theory of Social Representations, Bourdieu's theory of Symbolic Power, Foucault's theory of Disciplinary Power, and Bauman, Laraia and Geertz's theories of culture. The questions posed in this research were based on the legislation in force in our country, which states that anyone aged 60 or over is an 'elderly person'. The following question was therefore formulated: “How does a person feel when they reach the age of 60 and have their life classification immediately and arbitrarily defined as now being an ‘elderly person’?”. The general objective of this research was: “to capture the social representation attributed by people over 60 years of age to the classificatory term ‘elderly person’” and the specific objectives were: “to understand what the term ‘elderly person’ means to the participants in the research”; “to identify whether the term ‘elderly person’ is representative of the participants in the research” and, “to record how the participants in the research feel about the classification and/or possibility of classification ‘elderly person’”. In order to meet these objectives, this research carried out a survey of data from the subjects themselves on the term 'elderly person', interviewing 18 participants in activities at the Parque Municipal do Idoso, located in the city of Manaus, all of whom were aged 60 or over. This research met its specific objectives, finding the following certainties: the term 'elderly person' is a complex web that encompasses an indeterminate number of representations and meanings, presenting points of connections and ruptures, of encounters and mismatches, with participants being inadequately reduced into columns of macro aspects, making it necessary to categorize as many classifications as there are participants in order to understand what is represented by the term in an individual way. 83% of the participants share an 'elderly person'. None of the participants felt violated if they were addressed by the name 'elderly person', some pointed out that what offended them was violent treatment and cited 'old man' as an example. The research tool was an open-ended structured interview, so other data was found, detailed and evident that: being an 'elderly person' represents being at the mercy of a plurality of biological, psychological, social and labor characteristics. Being an 'elderly person' means experiencing various moments in which ageism is practiced by others around them, regardless of their age. To be an 'elderly person' is to be a modern person by a term that represents the security of rights and guarantees and to have them violated in several, if not all, spheres and to be at the mercy of violence, including in these spheres. Finally, one survey also reported that to be an 'elderly person' with the opportunity to attend an elderly living center is to experience care, affection, respect, consideration, esteem and various other good treatmentsItem A cestaria Ooloda/Urutú: patrimônio material do povo Medzeniako do município de São Gabriel da Cacheiroa-Amazonas-Brasil(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2024-04-17) Garrido, Ronaldo Jose; Santos, Tatiana de Lima Pedrosa; Santos, Tatiana de Lima Pedrosa; Valle, Geraldo Jorge Tupinamba do; Silva, Carlos Augusto daThis research aimed to contribute to the strengthening and preservation of Cultural Memory, Ooloda/Urutú basketry, its production, meaning and appreciation of the cultural and material heritage of the Medzeniako people. The account of the history and relevance of Ooloda/Urutú basketry for the Medzeniako people; describing in the Medzeniako language and Portuguese the designs of Ooloda/Urutú basketry and reporting the meaning of the material makes the work a reference for the strengthening, practice, production and appreciation of Ooloda/Urutú Medzeniako. The relevance is also justified by seeking to record the technique, meaning and ancestral use of Ooloda/Urutú basketry among the Medzeniako. Medzeniako is the indigenous people who live in the Içana River basin, Indigenous Land of the upper Rio Negro. Knowledge reporting is relevant because it is a strategy for valuing and strengthening culture. Thus, the research focuses precisely on being a means of strengthening and cultural (re)existence of the Medzeniako people through the “production of Ooloda/Urutú basketry”. The research took place through dialogue and recording information with Ooloda/Urutú basketry producers. Together, it was possible to carry out and define the meaning of the reported experiences and identify aspects related to oral and cultural memory in relation to the Ooloda/Urutú basketry production technique, its relevance, cultural and heritage significance for the Medzeniako.Item O empoderamento das mulheres ribeirinhas por meio ingresso da Universidade de Tefé(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2024-04-12) França, Deize Martins; Bezerra, Nelissa Peralta; Bezerra, Nelissa Peralta; Sousa, Marília de Jesus da Silva e; Santos, Patrícia da SilvaThis dissertation aims to analyze the role of the University in the lives of riverside women and how they made this education a means to improve their lives and, consequently, empower themselves as women, through education. Item Saberes, fazeres e narrativas culturais indígenas do baixo Tapajós: a vivência musical do coletivo “as karuana”(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2023-03-29) Maciel, Michel Albuquerque; Jesus, Edilza Laray de; Jesus, Edilza Laray de; Gonçalves, Luiz Davi Vieira; Costa, Mauro Gomes daMusic is usually conceived historically and judged qualitatively from a eurocentric point of view that usually obscures the logic and understanding of the culture in which it is produced and transmitted. In the indigenous reality, such discussion obeys many variables, due to the load of symbolisms, experiences, realities, and as a political process of identity affirmation and demand for rights. The present work seeks to understand the musical experience of the Coletivo as Karuana Mulheres Indígenas e da Floresta, through the knowledge, positionings, production, and narratives originating from its members. The research was developed in the village of Alter do Chão, located 35 km from the Santarém city, in western Pará. In this work, we used ethnomusicology and case studies. To obtain the data, we carried out bibliographic research, interviews and observation. The group, made up of women from the Borari, Kumaruara and Tapajó ethnicities, performs in songs and actions a movement against the historical and continuous processes of attacks against the indigenous peoples and their territories, as well as shows the identity of its components, worldview and relationship with their ancestors, elements in common with other indigenous groups in the region.Item Análise crítica do discurso da sustentabilidade e da representação dos atores sociais em marcas amazônicas(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2022-03-29) Souza, Jackeline Andrade Duarte de; Soares, Neiva Maria Machado; Soares, Neiva Maria Machado; Marques, Maria Gorete Costa; Moncayo, Vanúbia Araújo LaulateIn an Amazonian context of environmental degradation, companies find themselves increasingly responsible for adopting measures that demonstrate commitment to social and environmental issues, taking positions beyond the economic. This research intends as a general proposal: To analyze the sustainability discourse, the discursive representation and the visual interaction of social actors in the discourse of Amazonian brands, which present the perspective of advertising discourse. More specifically, we aim to: (1) Investigate how brands discursively approach sustainable development; (2) Analyze the discursive representation of social actors in Amazonian brands; (3) Identify the constitution of visual interaction between image participants. For this purpose, 2 (two) Amazonian brands that operate in the food sector were selected, with a local product, the Amazonian cocoa, a total of 4 (four) visual advertising texts and 4 (four) verbal-visual texts were collected companies' websites and social networks. We take as investigative support the theories and methodologies of Functional Systemic Linguistics, by Halliday (1994); Halliday and Matthiessen (2004/2014), for the Ideational Metafunction, via processes; Fairclough's (2001; 2003) Critical Discourse Analysis for lexicon and nominalization; by the discourse of sustainability, by Sachs (2009), Boff (2012), among others; the Theory of Representation of Social Actors, by van Leeuwen (1996/2008), for the inclusion category; and the Theory of Multimodality in Visual Design Grammar, by Kress and van Leeuwen (1996/2006), for interactive meaning. As results obtained, we noticed that the companies brought sustainability issues to the discussion on their official websites and publications on social networks by highlighting the participants responsible for the chocolate production process, highlighting the commitment and their actions within the Amazon, and by showing how the development of the company favors the environment and the local population. Through the discursive analysis of the representations brought by the brands, we noticed that the social actors have a relationship of involvement, being specified, identified, individualized and named. By investigating the interaction, we observed that the visual representation of the social actors occurs in a direct way, with a proximity, demonstrating a relationship of involvement and equality between the represented participants and the observer of the image. We conclude that while the proposed objectives were achieved, the brands brought environmental, social and economic issues to the forefront, in addition to producing representations with the inclusion of social actors.Item Corpus Amazônida: a dança contemporânea no processo de identidade cultural da comunidade ribeirinha Bela Vista do lago do Puraquequara(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2022-03-11) Sicsú, Larissa da Silva; Santos, Eneila Almeida dos; Santos, Eneila Almeida dos; Jesus, Edilza Laray de; Passos, Yara dos Santos CostaOne of the most complex beginnings in the trajectory of the human being is the idea of identity, it becomes instigating to reflect on how it is expressed in the most physical character, which is the body. For the individual coming from unique spaces, such as the Amazon, the riverside stands out, especially the one around the city of Manaus, in particular that of the Bela Vista do Lago do Puraquequara community. In this sense, we sought to understand what this being is and how it manifests itself, its influences and movements fostered in its experience. In the light of a process guided by authors such as Pierre Bourdieu, Michel Foucault and Rudolf Laban, who approach, a priori, the body from different prisms, a dialectic that configures the individual as social praxis was highlighted. Emphasizing the body as a scenario and social influences, as an image of oneself and of the other in the disciplinary process and also as intentions and attributions of movements, listing elements from extensive studies relevant to the social sciences, highlighted from the theorists referenced in this. Guided by the art of Dance, especially the look at the body through the Liberating Dance, inspired by important names in contemporary dance, such as Klauss and Angel Vianna, this method based on bodily freedom, instigates the unveiling of organic dancing, of gestural expression. and emotions. Conducted by a qualitative bias, supported by a bibliographic survey and with the method of participant research, this work aimed to understand the identity nuances of the riverside populations. Thus, it was observed that through the field of theoretical dialogues and the experimentation carried out in the research field, primordial elements for this understanding were unveiled, highlighting the time-space relationship of this resident in line with the symbolic power of the waters; his self-affirmation as a riverside dweller, being a resident of the neighborhood or the lake, his decision to choose the community as a dwelling, as well as the expression of his poetics in his daily work. Thus, it was found that this resident incorporated his expressiveness in his relationship with nature and in community, an uninterrupted movement, like the seasonal waters of the Amazon. Despite the obstacles of the pandemic context, it was seen that the research objectives were achieved and that there is much to be understood about riverside populations, and continuity in the theme addressed is essential.
