Item Perspectiva neurocognitiva da ansiedade química na educação básica e superior: o que precisamos saber?(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2020-07-03) Silva, Kleyfton Soares da; Coelho, Polyanna Santos; Silva, Luiz H. Barros da; Fonseca, Laerte Silva daThe chemistry science is situated in a school position that may or may not generate anxiety. On the positive side, it can sharpen students' curiosity, whereas, on the contrary, it can be perceived as difficult to be understood, given the didactic choices made to transpose it from nature to the classroom. The aim of this paper is to understand chemical anxiety, aiming to characterize its definition, etiology, types and levels, as well as to present some examples of how to circumvent it in the classroom. It was decided to carry on a bibliographical investigation, considering that We did not find Brazilian references on this topic. Considering that the human capacity to regulate emotions, their own thoughts and behaviors, evidence shows that it is possible to lower levels of chemical anxiety through pedagogical strategies that favor the development of students' self-confidence.Item Interdisciplinaridade e o ensino de química em livros de ciências do oitavo ano(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2020-07-03) Anjos, Amanda Lira dos; Fortuna, Rayane Tavares; Rotta, Jeane Cristina GomesTextbooks used in the final years of elementary school usually present a fragmented approach to contents, favoring a more biological perspective of knowledge, to the detriment of the Chemistry and Physics contents. This emphasis may prejudice Science teaching and learning under a more integrative and interdisciplinary aspect. The aim of this work was to analyze and identify whether three Science textbooks used in the eighth grade of elementary school focus on Chemistry contents and have an interdisciplinary approach to Natural Sciences, as is advised for this segment. The methodology used was documentary analysis and the Content Analysis technique. The results showed that the analyzed textbooks superficially insert some Chemistry content in the subjects approached. However, a more biological approach to subjects and fragmented contents persist.Item A experiência visual como elemento facilitador na educação em ciências para alunos surdos(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2012-08-11) Pinto, Mariê Augusta de Souza; Gomes, Aldalúcia Macêdo dos Santos; Nicot, Yuri ExpósitoThis work addresses some aspects of education for deaf students, emphasizing the visual experience as a facilitating element in these students’ learning. The present work was carried out during the first author’s activities as a teacher in a school for deaf students in the city of Parintins, state of Amazonas. The activities were developed taking into consideration aspects of visual and spatial perception with the goal of having deaf students acquire necessary skills to construct their own knowledge. Therefore, we propose pedagogical activities to teach various curricular contents, including science, with the aim of facilitating and improving deaf students’ meaningful learning. The pedagogical activities included games, concrete materials and objects, and field trips. In addition, we promoted activities that involved the visual and spatial channels such as images, hands-on, and drawing, considering that deaf students’ learning is mediated by these sensory channels. The use of the Brazilian Sign Language (BSL) to communicate, interact, and stimulate development of deaf students is very necessary in this teaching-learning process. We evaluate the performance of students in this test and suggest strategies for teaching-learning of Biology and Natural Sciences, for improve the performance of students and teachers of high school in the region. We used textbooks of biology as a reference to categorize and quantify the 30 questions in the test on IX OBB according knowledge area and specific content. The percentage of correct answers of the students was related by knowledge area, grade of high school, technical school, and the differences were assessed for significance testing. The performance of most students in the test on IX OBB was less than 50%, below the regional average of State of Amazonas. The application of formal knowledge in practical classes in the natural sciences, the development of projects and outclass experiments and laboratories have been major instructional practices revisions by teachers. Since 2010 there was an increase in the number of students and professors from the Amazonas Federal Institute - IFAM involved in the extension and research projects. In 2012 started the planning for deployment of laboratories that include teaching and research in Natural Sciences. Hence, we expected a positive feedback between the teaching-learning of Biology. This new dynamic and the infrastructure will contribute to scientific culture and extension in technical courses. Thus, providing professionals and students to apply their knowledge in a context to articulate schools and society. Keywords: Scientific Olympiads. Learning Biology. Science Teaching. However, we resort to such authors as: Candau (2000), Marandino (2003), Oliveira and Gastal (2009), Vieira et al. (2005), Hodkinson (2002), Dominguini (2008), Schnetzler (1992), Costa (2008), Feistel and Maestrelli (2012), Santos (2007), Perticarrari (2011), Silva (2008) and Carbonell (2002), among others. In this context , we seek to give a new look to the Teaching of Science and Mathematics, frequently supported in the transmission and content repetition; we present the Horto Florestal Tote Garcia, located in Cuiaba, Mato Grosso, as one of those spaces. This is due to familiarity this environment with so many others that exist in large urban centers of our country, which allows the reflection and inclusion of such activities in our school practices. The educative non-formal spaces have been established as complementary environments that promote different teaching practice. This work aimed to answer the following research question: how did students, future teachers arrange the local spaces and relevant knowledge to produce scientific guides as a significant resource for science education? The research has a qualitative approach, in the form of research-action. Therefore, we choose the guide "Ver-o-Peso and medicinal plants". The theme “medicinal herbs” represented the central aspect of the guide; however, students chose to use the internet as an information source, rather than use the knowledge of herbalists to describe the medicinal properties of herbs sold in the Ver-o-Peso. If they had appealed to the knowledge of herbalists, they could be able to verify the medicinal properties attributed with the scientific literature, in order to support the acquired knowledge or discuss the possible inconsistencies, which would give more originality to the guide. Nevertheless, this does not apply to a perfect scenario. In general, the guide analysis revealed the limited autonomy of students, about authorship. Keywords: Education in non-formal spaces.
