Dança em diálogo com a pintura: uma análise das influências da religião afrodescendentes no processo criativo da performance Apureza

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of paintings featuring Afro-descendant women on the creative process of the "Apureza" performance. It seeks to promote knowledge of Afro-Brazilian culture in visual arts and dance, exploring how performances can incorporate religious elements, highlighting their connections to dance, theater, and music. "Apureza" draws from the author's personal experiences, incorporating objects and stories from entities and practitioners. Key references include Conduru (2022) on religious objects in performance, Araújo (2021) on Afro-descendant spirituality, Beserra (2022) on art's potential to shape reality, and Lima (2016) on comparing professional dance and terrier performances. The results show "Apureza" as a comprehensive performance sharing emotions and sensations with the audience, encouraging interaction and nostalgia, exemplified by incorporating elements inspired by the Feast of Saint Cosme and Saint Damian.
