This paper is an attempt to exercise the psychoanalytic criticism in the text of The Athenaeum, by Raul Pompeia, considered one of the great works of Brazilian literature, published in 1888, within the period considered realist-naturalist. From readings of texts related to psychoanalytic criticism and after briefly situating the author in the literary context of the time, we will observe the images related to femininity and masculinity, from some basic theories of psychoanalysis, such as those proposed by Freud and Lacan, understanding the text as a manifestation of the unconscious and in its literary specificities. Keywords: psychoanalytical criticism; images; O Ateneu; Brazilian Literature.

This article aims to carry out a comparative study of the representation of children and adolescents in two works published at different times: "Capitães da Areia" (1937), by Jorge Amado, and "Capão Pecado" (2000), by Ferréz. We intend to evaluate the place of children and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability in the fictional production. Both works were recognised as voices from the society of their time, for expressing the violence and the situation of children and adolescents at different times in Brazilian society. We propose to indicate the singularities, the convergences and divergences present in the narratives, in the aesthetic and social aspects. With the purpose of grounding the work, we consulted the following bibliography: Dalcastagnè (2012); Barreto (2006); Bosi (2002, 1995), Stegagno-Picchio (2004), Foucault (2014), besides sites and blogs that publish content on the internet. Keywords: children, adolescents, literature, Jorge Amado, Ferréz.

(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2018-12-14) Santos, Luan Cruz dos; Andreatta, Elaine Pereira
This article aims to analyze the female representation in the protagonists of the music videos of the American singer Lana Del Rey. For this, a historical journey is made through feminist theory to understand the female social body from concepts that make up the compulsory order of gender/sex/desire proposed by Judith Butler (1990), as well as the subversion of this system and the performative acts of the subject, which create stereotypes assigned by society. These are observed in dialogue with the singer's music videos and put in evidence her initially unpretentious relationship about feminism. Next, we understand the music video as a discursive genre from Thiago Soares (2012). Finally, the music video of National Anthem is analyzed by discussing categories of analysis from the semiotics of image and film studies from Laurent Jullier and Michel Marie (2009) with a focus on the level of the plane. In it, the woman's body and its performances are perceived by filmic choices, while they can also be seen in the music, even if sometimes in a contradictory way, thus showing two languages that dialogue evidencing the same theme. Keywords: social body; feminism; music video; Lana Del Rey.

(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2018-12-07) Teixeira, Jéssica Vitória Oliveira; Martins, Valteir
There is nothing more complex than written language, a system formed by a set of regular and irregular segmentations. Therefore, the school has a fundamental role in the acquisition and consolidation of writing, for that, aiming to facilitate the writing process, it canonized a simplistic methodological bias of orality transcription, that is, writing is transmuted in that which has greater correspondence with speech, boosting the active use of hearing, however, when the student makes use of the hearing loops, It is located precisely in the occipital lobes, an area responsible for visual stimuli; more specifically, sitting on the flank of the left occipito-temporal sulcus, is the VWFA (area of the visual form of words) responsible for reading written words, the same area that makes the facial recognition. Based on this idea, this paper aims to show that the use of the global phonological method is prone to failure, since it is an auditory perceptual process. Redirection to the visual region will allow stability in writing, since stimulation of the VWFA, an area specialized in visual memorization, will facilitate gradual recall of a visual alphabet. Keywords: VWFA; auditory loops; brain; occipital lobes; orality.

The aim of this paper is to present an analysis of the aspects of the novel of formation Youth, by Coetzee (2005), seeking to identify the peculiarities that the themes of postmodernity assume in this work. To do so, the concept of the novel of formation will be explored, considering the conceptions of formation and the historical conjunctures that propitiated the foundation of this concept, based on Maas (2000) and Jaeger (1995). Then, the conditions that emerge from the context of postmodernity will be explained, considering the approaches of Jameson (1985) and Lipovetsky (2004). At the end, given the concepts discussed, the aspects of the novel by Coetzee (2005) will be analyzed. Keywords: novel of formation; postmodernity; J. M. Coetzee

This article intends, in general, to interpret the representation of homoeroticism in the Catullian pederastic poetic productions and of violence in the so-called Latin Priapeia of ancient Rome, under the notion of ancient thought regarding sexuality. For this, 10 poems were selected, being 05 of the Carmina Catulli and 05 of the Latin Priapeia. With this article, it was possible to understand the socio-cultural portrait that emerges from these representations, and also to associate them with the way in which the Catullian pederastic relations and the violence in the Latin Priapeia are aligned with more general issues, such as power, pleasure and social stratification. Keywords: catulli carmina; Latin priapeia; pederasty; homoeroticism; violence. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2018-12-13) Carvalho, Beatriz Rodrigues; Silva, Jeiviane Justiniano da
The present theoretical and bibliographical research focuses on the constructions of SN + SP, in the form of what GT concludes as Adjunct adnominal, expressed by adjective locution, or Nominal complement: the more comprehensive notion is that the discrepancy is related to issues of activity and passivity, which was once, in the Latin language, the genitive case. However, in the light of generative theory, it can be seen that the complement concerns the argument In this sense, the complement is the internal argument of a lexical nucleus, which, when stemming from a verb, may present up to three arguments In this sense, the complement is the internal argument of a lexical nucleus, which, when stemming from a verb, may present up to three arguments, under the roles of, for instance, Agent, Patient, Experiencer, Causer, Possessor - that is, independently of the role exercised, the SP will be complement whenever the noun that indicates an action requests it.
The representation of the female condition in the work Sangue Negro, by Noémia de Souza, during the period of Portuguese domination that enslaved thousands of Africans, made the woman as a being who suffered not only from racial discrimination, but also from the devaluation due to a created image. But, even in the face of a stereotypical stereotyped image, the Mozambican woman resisted and fought against imposition. Therefore, this work aims to analyze three poems by Noemia de Souza: "Poem", "Moças das docas" and and "Woman who laughs at life and death," to present the female condition represented in poetic writer. As reinforcement, we address the context in which the literature was formed in Mozambique. We show the importance of the press for the propagation of this literature. At Finally, we focus on the analysis of the poems cited from the understanding that the struggles of African liberation struggles influenced the positioning of Mozambican writers Noêmia de Souza. Keywords: resistance; feminine condition; Noémia de Souza.
